For over 30 years, WCLC has worked diligently to fulfill its mission to protect and care for environmentally significant land and water in Waukesha County for future generations. To date, we have protected over 3,500 acres of primary environmental corridor, undisturbed shoreline, pristine floating bog, globally imperiled oak ecosystems, and more.
Part of our stewardship initiatives involve removing invasive species to allow native species to flourish. This year, we’re tagging in the neighbors and a local Girl Scout Troop to target our Hardy Preserve and Davis Nature Preserve.

Mission: Garlic Mustard removal. We’ll be taking part in the annual Garlic Mustard Pull-a-thon, joining others across the region in this collective effort to protect our natural areas. It’s a simple, hands-on way to make a real impact - and a great way to spend time outside. We will also be pulling Common Wintercress at Weiland Preserve.
Equipment: Please bring comfortable work gloves!
What to Bring and Wear: Please bring your own snacks and beverages. Dress appropriately for the weather and wear clothes that cover your arms and legs, in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and smokey in. For footwear, wear sturdy, closed-toed boots, and bring along your work gloves if you have them.
