 Celebrate our 2016 accomplishments, hear about our exciting plans for 2017 and learn how you can become involved! 

This year’s guest speakers will share information regarding exotic animal species which are invading our region. Early detection, identification and prompt best management techniques will reduce the negative impacts of these unwelcomed critters.

Bernadette Williams, DNR Plant Pest and Disease Specialist, will share information about crazy worms and a few other animals she is working hard to control.

Dan Hirchert from USDA APHIS Wildlife Services will tell us about efforts to control feral swine and mute swans throughout Wisconsin.

We will also present our 8th Annual Sweat Equity Award during the Symposium, which honors outstanding Southeastern Wisconsin citizens and organizations for their significant contributions to prevent, control or eradicate invasive species that harm our region’s lands, waters, and wetlands.  

 The symposium is free and open to the public.          Delicious local refreshments will be served.
