2022 brought the departure of two Board Members. Melissa Curran served on the Board for 6 years sharing her drive to manage invasive species through our various programs. Elected to the Board in 2020, Kacey Tait used her creativity and volunteered to create our Assistance Program logo. Join us in welcoming two new Directors who recently joined our Board and will each serve initial three-year terms:
Chris Loebach received a BS in Biology from Loras College and an MS in Biology, with an emphasis in Conservation Biology, from Illinois State University. After graduate school, Chris spent 6 years working in environmental consulting. In 2021, Chris joined NextEra Energy where he supports solar energy development projects by assisting in vegetation management planning and overseeing the implementation of environmental stewardship actions. Chris lives in Brown Deer with his wife and two daughters and hopes to pass along his love of the outdoors to his daughters.
Samantha Kiser earned a BS in conservation and environmental science with a minor in biological sciences from UW-Milwaukee. She gained experience working in natural resource management, public outreach and environmental education while working for the Wisconsin DNR, Milwaukee County Parks and various local land trusts. In her current position as an ecologist for Waukesha County Parks, she cares for the County’s many parks and greenways through natural land management, wildlife monitoring and volunteer coordination. She lives in Greendale with her fiancé and dog and enjoys hiking, camping, foraging and cooking.
